Kathryn Garber, PhD

Dr. Garber is the Co-Editor in Chief of Intersections and a faculty member in the Department of Human Genetics. Her main focus at Emory is to educate future healthcare providers about genetics. Her research interests center on the accurate and consistent interpretation of genetic variation. Currently, she is helping to develop workshops and materials to educate primary care providers on the proper management of direct-to-consumer genetic test results.
linda orkin lewin, md

Dr. Lewin is founder and Co-Editor in Chief of Intersections and a Professor of Pediatrics. She also serves as the Co-Director of the Woodruff Health Educators Academy where she oversees several interprofessional career development programs. Her current research interests include professional identity formation, interprofessional education, and clinical skills assessment, and she especially enjoys mentoring and supporting the career development of others.
Jonelle Shields McKenzie

Jonelle Shields McKenzie is a dedicated Senior Executive Administrative Assistant with over 11 years of service supporting C-suite executives in the healthcare technology industry. Skilled in organization, communication and executive office management. A passion for diversity, equity & inclusion, with a special focus on Southern Black queer and non-gender conforming women, she has spent decades building and advocating for her communities.

Michaela McMillian Jenkins is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Sociology at Emory University. Her research considers how culture and inequality interact with a particular focus on race, ethnicity, organizations, & the American South.

Dr. Gaydos is the Associate Editor for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning with Intersections. She is a Full Professor of Teaching in the Department of Health Policy & Management and serves as the Deputy Director for the Executive MPH Program at the Rollins School of Public Health. Dr. Gaydos’ current research interests focus on pedagogy in public health with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as substantive foci in women’s and reproductive health.

Dr. Caudle is an Assistant Editor for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning with Intersections. He is an Associate Professor in the Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health and serves as the Director of Graduate Studies for the Environmental Health Sciences PhD Program at the Rollins School of Public Health. Dr. Caudle’s current research interests focus on innovative pedagogy and classroom engagement in addition to understanding the contribution of our environment to neurological health and disease.

Dr. Villalon-Gomez is an Assistant Editor for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning of Intersections and a faculty member in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. He serves as the Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program. He brings an innovative approach to curriculum development and residency teaching. In addition, he actively serves on several committees with Emory’s Graduate Medical Education office and Emory Healthcare.
Roshan george, md

Dr. George is the Associate Editor for Integrations and Applications section of Intersections. She is an Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, Department of Pediatrics. She is also the Program Director for the Pediatric Nephrology fellowship Program. Dr. George is the Medical Director for Transplant Quality for Pediatric Solid Organ Transplantation and the Director for Renal Transplant Transition Clinic. Her research interests are in transplant immunology, access to pediatric kidney care, quality improvement in clinical practice and inclusion in medical education.

Dr. Marshall–Lee is an Assistant Editor for Applications and Integrations with Intersections. She is an Associate Professor in the School of Medicine and serves as the Associate Director, Advocacy and Diversity for Postdoctoral Residency Program in Health Service Psychology. Dr Marshall Lee’s research interests focus on education, training, and service provision centered on the mental health of individuals experiencing serious and persistent mental health concerns and minoritized communities utilizing a social justice advocacy, equity, diversity, and inclusion framework.
Bethany Robertson

Dr. Robertson is the Assistant Editor for Applications and Integrations with Intersections. She is a Professor in the School of Nursing, teaching in the Doctorate of Nursing Program and serving as the Principal Investigator for a HRSA grant focused on Nurse Practitioner Residency Program. She also serves as the Clinical Executive for Wolters Kluwer, supporting the Health, Learning, Research and Practice segment. Her research interests focus on quality and safety, specifically the role of Interprofessional education and collaborative practice on patient safety and quality outcomes.
