Dear Colleagues,
Thanks to the hard work of our amazing editorial team, the submissions from many colleagues, and the financial support of the Woodruff Health Sciences Center, Intersections is celebrating its first anniversary.
In the year since Intersections officially launched, we have published 17 pieces and have another four going through the editorial process. These publications were submitted by colleagues from many of our educational programs, including the MD and several Academic Health programs, the Rollins School of Public Health, and the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. As we hoped, we have also received submissions from Emory Healthcare educators. Among our authors are residents, faculty, and healthcare staff, but we would particularly like to acknowledge the multiple students and their supporting mentors who have submitted some of our most viewed publications.
As we work to create an efficient and sustainable organization, we are inspired by the creativity and commitment to education within our community and we look forward to building on this strong foundation as we move forward. To ensure our success, we encourage you to consider submitting to Intersections, serving as a reviewer, or sharing your ideas with us. We welcome WHSC colleagues at all stages of education, training, and practice as both authors and reviewers, and will work with each individual as needed to continue to develop their academic writing and reviewing skills. Please help us expand by letting your colleagues, students and trainees know about Intersections and encouraging them to subscribe as well as to submit their own work. If you have ideas you would like to vet, or feedback on our work to date, feel free to reach out to us at jintersections@emory.edu.
Thanks again,
Linda and Kate
